The Horror: A Gallery Show

Featured in SEIS Gallery’s The Horror show (June 17–July 22, 2023), Ariel’s multimedia installation transported viewers back to the unsettling innocence of a childhood encounter with horror. A looping CRTV screened her original short films Enceinte and 4:48 Psychosis, surrounded by children’s toys arranged to evoke a familiar household setting. Tucked into a small, enclosed nook, the piece invited viewers to step into the shoes of a child discovering fear—and fascination—for the very first time.

Ariel’s original short horror films, Enceinte and 4:48 Psychosis, were featured as the centerpiece of the installation, looping on a CRTV to immerse viewers in the unsettling experience of discovering horror for the first time.

The Horror at SEIS Gallery celebrated the launch of SPUNK art & perspectives' 15th issue and 20th anniversary, featuring work from 36 artists. Ariel’s poem The Place Beyond was included in the issue, and she gave a reading of it at the launch party. You can purchase a copy of Spunk Issue 15: The Horror Here.

On July 1, 2023, A Siren’s Song had a special one-night-only screening as part of The Horror at SEIS Gallery. The evening concluded with a Q&A, where Ariel discussed the film’s themes, creative process, and its place within the horror genre.
